of the feather stitch.

These two give a totally
different look even though they start out exactly the same.

Equally
easy, you would think I could have made the centre square.

I'm not doing TAST this year, but I'm saving all the e-mails...and admiring your work. Stitches 53 and 54 look particularly intriguing. I love their symmetry. :-)
ReplyDeleteNice samplers, you put so much work into them!
ReplyDeleteThese are TAST highlights! You are SO clever at showing the stitches to their best advantage. Do you spend a lot of time planning or do you just let the needle loose?
ReplyDeleteThe two colours on the Triangular Feather stitch make it look very smart.
Hi Queenie :
DeleteThank you for your comments. To answer your question, I don't spend a lot of time planning but I do think about what the stitch could be used for from the time I see it. Sometimes, I know exactly what I will do with it as soon as I see it. I use the stitch to make my four inch border whenever I can, and usually by the time I finish that, I will have come up with an idea for design. Other times it is just more difficult and I really have to put my thinking cap on.
wonderful samplers. You have creatively used the TAST stitches to make lovely variatons. thanks for sharing your work.
