Snail's Pace

Quilt #80

Snail's Pace

Snail's Pace was made as an entry for  a challenge issued by Mongrain Textile, New Liskeard in 2004. The flowered fabric in red, yellow and blue was the challenge fabric and 4 other fabric could be added.

detail - centre
I pieced the challenge fabric as well as three of my own, in a spiral shape.
I then cut my dot “background” into another spiral shape and raw edge appliqued it on top of the pieced area. This was zigzagged in place.

back
The part I like best about this little quilt is the quilting, it shows well on the back.

The label was made from the cut out centre piece of the spiral.
