2012 UFO Challenge for May

Shadow Blocks

I'm taking part in Judy Laquidara's UFO Challenge at Patchwork Times.
I did get the top finished but unfortunately it did not get to the Long Arm Quilter as yet.  But it will!
The back is done and the binding is ready to go on.

Shadow Blocks top
Number 2 was picked for May and this is what I started out with.  I decided to only use 12 of the blocks in the front but added 3 to the back.

Have a great day,

Terry

They look like the blocks are floating. Nice.

I like the shadow setting. Are they 12 inch blocks?
I did nothing on May's UFO...it is my oldest and I am just not motivated enough to get it finished. Sure hope I do better with June!

I love how the blocks look like they are floating. Congrats on getting the top finished. I love getting these UFO's out of here!

I really like your May UFO finish. The colors are especially appealing and I would not have thought I'd like them at all. Maybe my tastes are changing. I have a shadow box quilt pattern in one of my UFO boxes to finish, but it's not at all like yours. Beautiful.

Thank you for posting your May UFO quilt top. It gave me the inspiration to use the Shadow Box technique for my June UFO. I hope to finish the top by tomorrow.
