Fancy Curves

Fancy Curves was a class sample in curved piecing, embellishing by hand and machine as well as a fused and machine stitched binding.

There is curved piecing on the background as well as in squares.

The background was quilted adding some decorative machine stitching as well as a couple of rows of hand whipped running stitches. The squares were embellished with french knots , fused and stitched onto the background with a blanket stitch.

The binding is fused, cut with a curved rotary blade and topstitched using a decorative machine stitch.

The beading was added after all the machine stitching was completed.
